Essex Police/Fire: Beverly man faces Essex license charge

ESSEX — Arao Dornela, 43, of Roundy Street in Beverly will face charges of driving without a license after police stopped his vehicle on Route 133 Sunday 2:30 p.m.

Police pulled Dornela's Pontiac over after he made an abrupt U-turn on Eastern Avenue. Police filed criminal complaints after the stop.

Joshua Movalli, 29, of 27 Woodward Ave., Gloucester, will face charges of driving with a suspended license in a vehicle without an inspection sticker after police stopped him on John Wise Avenue at Choate Street.

Officers ran his registration while following the vehicle and, after stopping Movalli, they asked passenger Connor Elston of 74 Bridge St. in Salem if he could drive the vehicle.

After running his license and finding it suspended, officers found Elston had a warrant out from Salem for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was then arrested as well.

Officers received a call reporting a lost wallet Friday at 5:04 p.m. Police told the caller to cancel any debit or credit cards in the wallet. The caller said the wallet had last been seen at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street.

At 12:19 p.m, Monday, an Eastern Avenue resident called to report that a former boyfriend had tried to get into her house. Police declined to comment further on the incident, saying it was under investigation.
