Gloucester Police/Fire: Saws taken, windows smashed in O'Maley break-in

A break-in was reported at O'Maley School at 9:44 a.m. Monday, with two windows smashed and doors left open.

Though initially nothing was reported missing, two chainsaws were later reported stolen, Gloucester police said.

School officials told police that there have been earlier break-ins that were not reported to police. A motion alarm had sounded at 5:02 p.m. Sunday, but police were not informed, according to the police report.

Police stopped two teens, ages 19 and 18, on Middle Street between 4:55 and 5:19 p.m. Sunday for texting while driving. The teens, who were stopped separately, were also not wearing seat belts. Both were given tickets for the infractions, police said.

Bags of cement were reported in the road on Dennison Street at 11:04 p.m. Sunday. The bags were moved out of the way, according to the police report.

A loud party was reported at 1:34 a.m. Monday on Veterans Way. The party host was asked to keep the noise level down, police said.
