A truck that crashed and took a chunk out of a stone wall brought police and the Fire Department's rescue squad to Lanesville on Thursday morning.
The Gloucester police log noted a Morgan Avenue man identified as Randall Young, 37, of 13 Morgan Ave. was driving a truck and slammed into with a stone wall at 1113 Washington St., , the home of Heather Wojciak, about 11 a.m. Airbags deployed in the truck. The crash damaged the passenger side of his truck and the wall.
Young was able to get to his home around the corner and was examined there by firefighters.
Firefighters at the scene said the driver did not negotiate a curve correctly as he turned onto Washington where it splits from Route 127. The Police Department's incident report wasn't completed and no charges had been filed as of press time Thursday.
