---- — Police arrested a 62-year-old Gloucester man on a charge of drunken driving Thursday about 7:55 p.m. on Essex Avenue.

Dana Rose of Perkins Road was arrested and charged with DUI after another driver reported the vehicle operating erratically.

A 49-year-old Gloucester woman was hospitalized after a vehicle rolled into the back of her legs Thursday about 12:21 p.m., according to police.

A Gloucester delivery driver, who was dropping off medicine off at the Warner Street woman’s home, told police that his foot slipped off the brake pedal as he went to shift the vehicle into park, and the vehicle rolled into the woman, who was unloading items from the trunk of her own vehicle, according to police.

Another person drove the woman to Addison Gilbert Hospital, police said. Police said the woman’s condition was unknown, but Emergency Room personnel were “tending to” the woman’s legs when police arrived at the hospital.

A Swampscott man reported his flatbed trailer, valued at $400, was missing and he presumes it was stolen from the Fernwood Lake Avenue address in Gloucester where he had last parked it, according to police.

The Swampscott man reported the trailer missing Thursday about 7:24 p.m., according to police. Police said the man told officers that he had the property owner’s permission to store the 4-by-8-foot trailer in that location.

The man told police he had converted the trailer from a boat trailer into a flatbed one, and there was no registration plate attached, he said.
