Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Several residents called police about solicitors going from door to door in neighborhoods around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers found the salesmen, who did not have proper permits. The solicitors, who were at several locations throughout town, told police they would get the proper paperwork before returning to Rockport.

Police assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Nugent Stretch at 4:44 p.m. on Wednesday.

At 5:43 a.m. Thursday, a male Mckays Drive resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
