Gloucester Police/Fire: Witness’s note leads to hit-run car

---- — Police were called to Rogers Street at 1:15 a.m. Friday to investigate a hit and run accident.

According to police reports, a witness left a note on a parked car with the license plate number of the offending vehicle, which police say did minor damage to the parked car, breaking its side mirror.

When contacted, the owner of the offending vehicle was willing to resolve the issue, police said.

A reportedly suicidal 17-year-old man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital for evaluation by rescue squad at 8:55 a.m. Friday from Gloucester High School.

An Eastern Point Road man who was having difficulty breathing was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital by rescue squad from his home at 12:40 a.m. Friday.

A female Main Street resident came into the station at 10:11 a.m. Friday to report identity theft and fraud. The resident said her sister has been using her Social Security number to sign up for different cable and online accounts.

Police contacted the cable company to correct the issue.
