---- — ROCKPORT — Residents of Granite Street reported a water main break Monday at 3:30 p.m. — a call that came after brown water was reported by some residents earlier this week.

Assistant director of public works Tim Olson said Tuesday that two of the three breaks throughout town have been fixed, and the DPW is currently working on the third.

Olson said this is a common time of year for water main breaks, due in large part to pipes freezing.

Medical transports kept Rockport’s police, paramedics and firefighters busy.

At 6:30 p.m. Monday, a female Granite Street resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

Later that night, at 9:47, a female Summer Street resident was transported to the hospital.

At midnight Monday, a male Marmion Way resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital.

A female Highview Road resident was then transported to the hospital at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
