Rockport Police/Fire:Dogs scare off coyote

ROCKPORT — Police said that a coyote entered a backyard on Highview Road, but a resident’s dogs managed to scare it way.

According to police, the incident was reported to police around 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. It was unclear when the coyote had gone into the yard.

A female patient was transported from Sandy Bay Terrace to Addison Gilbert Hospital around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Thursday, a female Hale Street resident was transported to the Gloucester hospital at 1:13 a.m. and a female Squam Hill Road female was transported to AGH at 1:48 a.m.
