A photo on Page 3 in Thursday’s edition spotlighted Jacob Mortillaro, at top, showing a picture of Matthew Ventimiglia in his plane to classmate Alexon Martinez Mejia during a presentation held at Veterans Memorial Elementary School. The caption that appeared with the photo was incorrect.

Laura Ventimiglia, mother of Navy pilot LCDR Matthew Ventimiglia, has been visiting all the Gloucester elementary schools giving them flags that her son has flown in his plane while he’s been serving in Afghanistan, and she visited Veterans’ Memorial Elementary School on Friday.
