Correction

The Gloucester Daily Times aims to be accurate. If you are aware of a factual error in a story, please call Times Editor Ray Lamont at 978-283-7000 x3438.

An editorial in the Feb. 5 edition of the Times recommended that the Gloucester Fishing Community Preservation Fund submit the report it commissioned and obtained from former Attorney General Scott Harshbarger to the office of current Attorney General Martha Coakley for full review. In fact, the Attorney General’s office has confirmed that it asked for and received Hashbarger’s report in late January, but added that no one in the office had reviewed it as of last week. The office is in the process of reviewing the report now, officials said.

The town of Essex’s projected cost for infrastructure and capital improvements to the properties on Northern Conomo Point is roughly $4 million. Due to an editing error, an incorrect figure was given in a story in Monday’s edition.
