Rockport Police/Fire: Gloucester woman faces 3rd DUI charge

ROCKPORT — A Gloucester woman is facing a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, third offense, after being stopped in Rockport Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.

Police said they first received a report by a motorist of an erratic operator on Granite Street.

Police then arrested Christine Orlando, 38, of Magnolia Avenue in Gloucester. Orlando is due in Gloucester District Court.

Another power outage was reported Tuesday around 6 a.m. in the area of Marmion Way. Police said the caller heard a loud bang and a nearby transformer caught on fire.

The Fire Department was soon on the scene and National Grid was notified and responded to address the issue.
