Rotary breakfast fund-raiser set for Saturday

Gloucester’s annual Waterfront Festival kicks off its annual two-day run at Sage Fort Park Saturday morning, while the second of this summer’s three Downtown Block Parties is planned for Saturday evening.

So a local civic organization is once again anticipating that residents looking to take in either of those events, both, or even neither will want to start the day with a good breakfast, cooked up for a good cause.

The Rotary Club of Gloucester will hold its annual pancake breakfast fund-raiser on Saturday from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at Stage Fort, just off the bandstand area above the site of the Waterfront fest.

The event serves as the Rotary’s biggest annual fund-raiser, with tickets priced at $7 per person and available from any Gloucester Rotarian and at the offices of Horvitz & Frisch, P.C., located at 128 Main St. in Gloucester. Tickets will also be available on the morning of the breakfast at the site.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Rose Baker Senior Center, North Shore Health Project, and SeniorCare/RSVP. More information about this event and the Rotary Club of Gloucester is available online at www.facebook.com/RotaryGloucesterMA.
