Gloucester District Court: Woman gets pretrial probation in assault case

A Gloucester woman has been placed on a year's pretrial probation for a charge of assault and battery in Gloucester District Court.

Judge Joseph Jennings placed Elyse Mason, 26, on pretrial probation until April 2013.

Mason is facing a continued charge of assault and battery stemming from a July 25, 2011, incident.

According to court documents, officers responded to a Main Street residence where a man reported that Mason had pushed him several times during an argument about child support.
