A 27-year-old Gloucester man was arrested at 12:56 a.m. Friday on a charge with domestic assault and battery.
Joseph Monahan Jr., of Friend Street, was arrested after police were called to his residence on a report of an unruly man.
Once they arrived, police found Monahan with a bloody mouth, but Monahan also reportedly told police he had struck another man at the residence. The other man was not charged.
A car on Harrison Avenue was broken into last weekend, according to the car's owner ,who reported the theft at 1:21 p.m. Friday. The owner told police that a GPS, security passes, a camera bag and the contents of a purse had been stolen from the unlocked vehicle.
A patron at Mike's Place restaurant on Railroad Avenue accused the restaurant of serving a bad pizza and demanded a refund, but staff called police at 6:38 p.m. Thursday to report the allegation. According to staff, the pizza was returned half eaten, with hair covering the uneaten half. The staff refused to return the $30 the patron had been seeking.
A man found sleeping in a car on Atlantic Street at 8:43 p.m. Thursday was sent on his way by police.
A noise complaint was made against a small group of people in a yard on Cedar Street at 10:22 p.m. Thursday. Police asked the party-goers to turn their radio down, and the festivities were allowed to continue.
A Perkins Street resident called police at 8:57 a.m. Friday to report that someone had charged $30 to his debit card for purchases on iTunes. The bank was notified, and police are investigating.
