Rockport Police/Fire: Hit-and-run driver sought

ROCKPORT — A woman called police at 4:04 p.m. Monday to report that another driver had struck her car when it was parked on Beach Street, and then drove away.

Police are searching for the driver. No one was injured, however, and the woman's car sustained only minor damage, police said.

A South Street resident called police at 6:23 p.m. Monday to report that a group of teens had thrown a water bottle from a car at the man's wife while she was walking on South Street at 5 p.m. Monday.

Police received a report of an erratic driver on Main Street on Monday, but when police looked for the driver they found nothing.
