Rockport Police/Fire: Stove cleaning sparks fire fears

ROCKPORT – Firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke billowing from a Main Street home Thursday about 5:31 p.m.

Responders found, however, that there was no fire and the homeowner was just cleaning a pellet stove, according to police.

Police arrested Steven M. Jette, a 38-year-old School Street man who was wanted on two outstanding default warrants Friday about 7:16 a.m., police said.

Emergency personnel transported a Den-Mar patient to Addison Gilbert Hospital Thursday about 4:44 p.m., according to police.A Sandy Bay Terrace man was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital Thursday about 4 p.m., according to police.
