ESSEX — An officer on patrol noticed what he believed to be a “suspicious vehicle” driving around Eastern Avene Monday at 3:32 p.m.

The officer spoke with the driver, who said he was just visiting someone he knew at the residence.

A summons to appear in court was hand delivered to a Story Acres resident shortly after at 3:33 on Monday.

Police reported to the Department of Public Works that road conditions on Western Avenue were slippery and covered in ice at 2:17 a.m. Wednesday. The DPW responded to sand and salt the area.
