Manchester Police/Fire: Pedestrian struck on Beach Street

---- — MANCHESTER — A pedestrian was transported by the Fire Department’s Ambulance crew to Beverly Hospital Monday night after being struck by a vehicle on Beach Street at 7:32 p.m.

Police are investigating the accident.

A separate motor vehicle accident also occurred Monday shortly after 5 p.m. when two vehicles collided on Pine Street. Police, however, said there were no injuries and motorists were able to drive from the scene after exchanging paperwork.

Yet another car accident was reported Tuesday, at 9:35 a.m. This two-car accident on Summer Street did not result in any injuries, although one car was towed from the scene, according to police.

Police on patrol at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday reported to the Department of Public works that School Street, Pine Street and the downtown area streets were covered in ice and needed to be coated with sand and salt.
