Manchester Police/Fire: Gloucester woman facing OUI charge

Manchester Police/Fire

A Gloucester woman faces a drunken driving charge after an officer working a detail reported a driver operating erratically.

Kathryn Traill of 4 Raymond St. in Gloucester was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

While doing detail work at 5:15 p.m., Officer Kevin Clary noticed the 29-year-old was driving erratically near Summer Street and called for backup soon after.

Sgt. Todd Fitzgerald and Officer Ryan Machaine arrived shortly after to make the arrest. Traill’s car was towed and she was released on $40 bail. She was scheduled to appear in Salem District Court on Thursday.

A resident reported construction trucks blocking portions of Brookwood Street at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday. A police officer working detail in the area helped the resident into his driveway.

An accident was reported on Route 128 northbound shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday near Pine Street. But when police arrived, they could not locate anybody.
