---- — ESSEX — Town officers assisted state police troopers, along with officers from Hamilton and Wenham, in breaking up a large house party in Hamilton at 11:28 p.m. Friday.

James Bookman, 17, of 4 Cullivan Lane in Hamilton was named as the host of the affair, according to the Times’ sister paper, The Salem News.

Bookman faces charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol, making alcohol available to minors, disturbing the peace and contributing to the delinquency of minors.

In addition, 42 other minors are being issued with summons to appear in court. Police said the case is still under investigation.

On Saturday night shortly after 9, a resident walked into the police station after hitting a deer on Route 133. When police responded, the deer was gone. Police said the driver was not injured and there was no serious damage to his vehicle.

On Friday at 1:25 p.m., a female Apple Street resident was transported to Beverly Hospital.
