Rockport Police/Fire: Police find 'erratic' vehicle, but not driver

---- — ROCKPORT —Police received a report of an erratic operator on Railroad Avenue Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

Police found the vehicle in question in the commuter rail station parking lot, but it was unoccupied.

Thursday, police said a phone line was down along Marmion Way, Verizon was notified around 10:30 a.m.

Police said there was a report of a door left open on a Long Beach cottage around 11:30 a.m.. Responding officers, however, found the area to be secure.

A burglar alarm sounded at a Halibut Point State Park building around 9 a.m. Thursday. Police, however, found it was a false alarm.

Thursday morning around 9:45, a female Railroad Avenue resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
