Rockport Police/Fire: Faulty alarm brings response to school

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Police and firefighters responded to a faulty alarm at Rockport High School Wednesday about 3:30 p.m.

Police said there was no fire issue at the school, but that an alarm system malfunction caused the alarm to notify emergency personnel. The alarm did not sound in the school, police said.

Police notified National Grid of a low-hanging wire on Whale Cove Road Wednesday about 2:44 p.m.
