Wanted: Anchors for Essex River project

ESSEX — Harbormaster Peter Silva is looking for a few good anchors.

Actually, Silva said he is looking for donations of anchors in any size; they can be bent, rusted or damaged.

This spring, Silva also requested some anchors and received several from some cooperative fishermen. Those were used for an ongoing Essex River project, as the new donations will be.

Silva, who is also the town's police chief, may be reached at the police station at 978-768-6628, extension 12, for more information or if you have an anchor to donate.
