Due to an apparent electronic editing error, charges against Cheryl Ilges and James Felder were wrongly attached and merged with a story about a man stealing a wallet at Market Basket. In fact, they had no connection whatsoever with that incident or those charges.

James Felder, 48, of Sandy Bay Terrace in Rockport had been arrested Friday night on charges of receiving stolen property less than $250, possession of a handicap placard, driving with an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, operating after a license suspension, a stop sign violation, failure to use a directional signal.

Police issued a summons to Cheryl Ilges, 44, also of Sandy Bay Terrace in Rockport, for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive her vehicle. Police noted in the report that she has faced “several previous charges and convictions for the same offense.”

Jack Meyers is a spokesman for state Inspector General Glenn Cunah. Meyer’s title was given incorrectly in a story about a Conomo Point investigation that appeared in Wednesday’s Times.
