Forums explore the life of Margaret Fuller

The Rev. Jenny Rankin, minister at the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, is conducting a series of learning “salons’” focusing on the life of Margaret Fuller. A 19th century woman with a 21st century mind, the trailblazing Fuller was the first female foreign correspondent. A literary critic, writer, champion of women’s education and frontline feminist, she was a Transcendentalist and confidant of Ralph Waldo Emerson, serving as editor on his influential publication, “The Dial.” The series is free, and continues Wednesdays, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the church on Middle Street. To register, contact Karen Rembert at 978-283-3410 or gloucesteruu@earthlink.net.
