Police add, promote officers

The Gloucester Police Department hired and promoted several officers last week.

The newly hired and newly ranked officers were sworn in by Mayor Carolyn Kirk during a Public Safety Badge Ceremony held Thursday at City Hall. The officers are Lt. David Quinn; Sgts. Jeremiah Nicastro, Sean Connors and Joseph Catarino; and Patrolman Joseph Balbo.

Commendations were be presented by Chief Leonard Campanello.
