Manchester Police/Fire: Town man faces domestic assault charge

Manchester Police/Fire

MANCHESTER — Police responding to a 911 call arrested a Raymond Street man in an alleged domestic assault Thursday around 11 p.m.

Police said Daniel Whitten, 50, is being charged with the domestic assault and battery. No one, however, required medical transport from the scene.

A Brookline woman jumped from a moving MBTA train somewhere between Gloucester and Manchester, police said.

The incident happened around 12:12 a.m. Friday, and the woman reportedly showed up at a Ledgewood Road home in Manchester before being taken to Beverly Hospital.

A small “Chihuahua-like” dog was reported missing from a Woodholm Avenue residence Thursday just before 3 p.m., police said.
