MANCHESTER — Another phone scam was reported to police Thursday at 4:30 p.m. by a Beach Street resident.
Police said it was similar to the one reported in Essex, in which the answering person is instructed to buy a prepaid debit card to pay off a bill that does not exist. Different phone scams were also reported in Rockport.
A car was towed off the School Street on-ramp to Route 129 just past 8 a.m. Friday. It was moved because it was overheating, police said.
A manhole cover was reported missing from Sea Street on Thursday around 7:30 p.m. Police said they could not find anything when they arrived.
Friday just before 10 a.m., debris was reported on Route 128. Police said it had been already removed by the time they arrived.
