Rockport Police/Fire: Point De Chene alarm proved false

ROCKPORT — Firefighters responded in full force to a fire alarm that sounded off Thursday just after 9:30 a.m at Point De Chene Avenue, police said.

Responders, however, found it to be a false alarm.

Wednesday, a female Mount Pleasant Place resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester around 4:15 p.m.

Thursday, a female South Street resident was transported to the Gloucester hospital at 10:10 a.m.
