Rockport Police/Fire: No charges filed in Sandy Bay domestic call

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Town police officers responded to a call regarding a reported domestic disturbance at the Sandy Bay Estates apartment complex on Sandy Bay Terrace Monday at 10 p.m.

Police found, however, that it was a verbal argument and no charges were filed.

Police searched the area of Granite Street Monday around 9:30 a.m. after a man reported that a woman had opened the door of his residence and asked for a person named “Francis.”

According to police, the resident had found this suspicious, but after searching the area, officers were unable to find anyone.

Firefighters responded to a Railroad Avenue residence after a carbon monoxide alarm sounded Tuesday at 11:44 a.m. Police said it proved to be a false alarm.

A false burglar alarm was also reported Monday at 9:50 p.m., on Penzance Road. Police said the area was secure.

Police assisted a Granite Street resident just before 2 p.m. after the driver locked the keys in the car.

Monday at 8:30 a.m., a student from the Rockport Middle High School was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester following a fall, police said.

Tuesday morning at 6:15, a female Sandy Bay Estates resident was transported to the Gloucester hospital.
