Rockport Police/Fire: Woman facing drunken driving charge

ROCKPORT — A Rockport woman was arrested after an erratic operator was reported on Granite Street Sunday at 5 p.m.

Ashley Grover, 23 of Hodgkins Road was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Police said she was released on personal recognizance bail and was arraigned Monday in Gloucester District Court.

An Old County Road resident reported a potential water break Friday at 6:30 p.m. when a nearby basin filled with water. The Department of Public Works was notified to resolve the issue.

Saturday afternoon just after 1:30, police received reports of all-terrain vehicles driving down Tarr’s Lane. When police arrived, they could not locate anyone.

Saturday at 11:15 p.m., police said reports came in of mailboxes being vandalized along South Street. Police could not find anyone when they arrived.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance Sunday at 6:10 p.m. on Quarry Ridge Lane. Police said it was a verbal argument; no charges were filed.

A Summer Street resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Sunday around 12:15 p.m..
