Full Circle, Digney Fignus playing Loop

The free concerts at Harbor Loop kick off Sunday, a few days late.

Originally scheduled to begin Thursday, a forecast calling for thunderstorms prompted organizers to postpone the show.

“We just didn’t want to take a chance with all the sound equipment,” said organizer Harry Pardee. “We are going ahead with the same full line up with a special Sunday concert July 14.”

The music starts around 5 p.m. on the hillside of Fitz Henry Lane Park overlooking the historic Inner Harbor.

The first concert will still feature local band Full Circle opening for Digney Fignus, whose band includes local favorites. Among those members is Alizon Lissance, an assistant professor at Berklee College of Music, on keyboards and squeeze box.

“She’s a Boston rock legend,” said Fignus. Also in the band are Jon Donohoe on fiddle, mandolin, banjo and saxophone; Perry James on drums; and Wolfe Ginandes on bass.

Pardee may be contacted at 978-979-2224 with questions about Sunday’s show.
