Rockport Police/Fire: Meat salesman draws police response

---- — ROCKPORT — Police responded to calls regarding a door-to-door solicitor selling meat in the area of Oak Circle just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said a man in a white pickup truck was reportedly selling meat from house to house, and that any such sales require town permits. But police could not find anyone when they arrived.

Wednesday at 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a man yelling at Cape Hedge Beach. Police said the man was meditating.

Police spoke to Bearskin Neck residents about their music following a noise complaint at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Wednesday just after 9 p.m., police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of South Street. But responding officers said it was all quiet when they arrived.

At 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, motorists walked into the station to report a minor car accident that occurred outside the Cumberland Farms store on Railroad Avenue. There were no injuries.
