ROCKPORT — A laptop computer was reported stolen from the Rockport Public School building at 2:21 p.m. Wednesday.
The theft is under investigation, police said. No more information was available.
Police received a report of a woman yelling obscenities on Haven Avenue at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. Police spoke to the woman, but no charges were filed.
A car was reported doing "figure eights" in the parking lot of the Rockport Golf Club course on Country Club Road at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday.
The car, however, was gone by the time that officers arrived.
A car crashed into a telephone pole on King Street at 8:37 a.m. Thursday.
The car was towed, and the pole moved noticeably, police said. But there were no reports of injuries.
National Grid checked the damage to the pole, police said.
A caller told police at 11:30 a.m. Thursday that a someone was driving erratically on Granite Street and had nearly struck the caller.
When police responded, however, the car could not be found.
Police issued a criminal citation to a woman driving on Mount Pleasant Street at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
