Local Y offers free public use of pool

With the ongoing heat wave, the Cape Ann YMCA is offering a time for the community to stop by and cool off.

The YMCA on Middle Street announced Tuesday that the use of its pool will be free and open to the community today from 2 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The heat wave, with temperatures reaching into the 90s and up to a projected 94 degrees on Friday, is expected to continue throughout the work week, with cooler temperatures finally turning up in the forecast for Saturday.
