Rockport Police/Fire: Reported construction noise doesn't check out

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Residents reported construction noise on Long Beach to police Thursday about 3:30 p.m., according to police.

Police found the area quiet, but guessed that the reportedly excessive noise may have come from a power washer that a nearby resident had finished using by the time police arrived, police said.

Police received reports of temporary water lines springing a leak on Eden Road Thursday about 4:10 p.m. Officers notified the Department of Public Works, which tended to the problem.
