Manchester Police/Fire: 59 parking tickets issued at Singing Beach

MANCHESTER — The summer weather drew so many people to Singing Beach on Tuesday that police issued 59 parking tickets during the day.

The citations were issued for a variety of violations, police said.

A fisher cat was seen on Morse Court at 8:58 p.m. Tuesday, and animal control was notified. Police are advising residents to keep pets inside at night, as fisher cats can be deadly predators of small pets.

A large group of people was reported on Singing Beach at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, but as the group was acting in compliance with town bylaws, they were allowed to continue on their way.
