A Gloucester family is mourning tonight, after receiving word that their loved one, missing since Wednesday morning, has died.
Bruce McKay, 69, a diabetic, was found in Seabrook, N.H., earlier today, according to police, and his family was notified of his death.
The Gloucester Engineering retiree left the family home on Adams Street around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, heading to Ira Toyota on Route 114 in Danvers to get a grease and oil change for his his blue Toyota Rav4. He never arrived at the dealership, his wife Margaret said.
Friends and family had been posting his description on Facebook and Twitter in hopes that someone would have seen him.
"He's a real homebody, he never goes anywhere," Margaret McKay said earlier today. "We go out for an hour and half every week and that's it."
Margaret said her husband was likely dehydrated when he left the house, which could have made him confused.
His wife said his favorite radio station, WKLB 102.5, had been broadcasting a report that he was missing. She is hoping he hears it and comes home.
