Essex Police/Fire: Two-car accident sends driver to Beverly

Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — A town resident was transported to Beverly Hospital following a two-car accident on Eastern Avenue Tuesday at around 9:45 a.m.

Police said an Eastern Avenue resident was pulling out onto the street from a driveway when the vehicle collided with an oncoming car.

The Eastern Avenue resident was transported to Beverly Hospital, though police said Thursday they did not know the severity of the injuries. The other driver was issued a civil citation for a failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

Police said the road was closed for about 20 minutes; Manchester and Gloucester police helped deal with traffic during the closure.

Thursday morning just before 7:30, police took a report of a possible stolen boat trailer.

Police said the galvanized trailer was stolen off a Haskell Court property within the past three weeks.

Police responded to a Main Street business Wednesday at 10:17 p.m. for a noise complaint. Officers said that a rug cleaning company was asked to stop for the night.

A woman was transported to Beverly Hospital from Choate Street Wednesday just before 3:30 p.m.
