---- — MANCHESTER — Two signs from two different businesses were removed Wednesday as they contradicted town bylaws, police said.

The first sign on Central Street was taken down around 5:15 p.m., the other on Beach Street was taken down around 6:15 p.m., police said.

Thursday at 8 a.m., a resident reported finding chicks in the middle of Ocean Street. After speaking with the animal control officer, police said the resident decided to keep them, as the resident has a chicken coop.

Police received a report of somebody walking on the MBTA commuter railroad tracks off Harbor Street Thursday just after 7 a.m.

Police told the man he was trespassing, and the man moved onto the street.
