Rockport Police/Fire: Fire call tied to burnt food

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Police and firefighters were called at 5:15 on Monday night to Sandy Bay Estates by residents reporting smelling smoke and hearing fire alarms.

Responders found, however, that the cause of the smoke was burnt food. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police responded to Drumlin Road Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. for a person who had fallen; the resident, however, did not require transport to a hospital.
