---- — Police are investigating an unauthorized purchase for $59.99 from a video game store’s website on Temple Ahavat Achim’s debit card, according to police.

Police said the temple’s bank is crediting the charge and the bank card was cancelled, with a new one issued. Still, according to police, the temple’s treasurer is concerned that a similar incident could occur if the offender is not found.

Police are requesting assistance from the corporate branch of the video games sales store, GameStop, for help resolving the issue, police said.

A 51-year-old Rockport man was injured after another car allegedly struck his car from behind when he slowed to allow another car to merge into traffic on Eastern Avenue near the Calvary Cemetery, according to police.

Police said the Fire Department’s ambulance squad transported the man to the hospital.
