The name of the billing company that has admitted an information security breach for patients transported via the Gloucester Fire department’s ambulance squad is Advanced Data Processing Inc., which is based in Florida and is known by the name ADPI.

The company is not connected to either ADP, the nation’s largest payroll processing company, which is based in New Jersey, or Automatic Data Processing, which also uses the name ADP and is based in Peabody.
