Gloucester Police/Fire: Customer wears clothes, unpaid for, out of store

---- — All a Main Street store owner wants is his vintage clothing returned.

Police were called to Bananas Clothing Store at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. An employee told officers that a man and a women entered the store and the male grabbed “several shirts and two to three pairs of pants” and went into the dressing room.

When the man, described as white with a tattoo on the back of his neck, emerged from the dressing room, he reportedly paid for two shirts and a pair of pants. The rest of the clothing he grabbed was missing.

Police searched the area and did not find the man.

The clothing store said it did not wish to press charges, it just wants the clothing returned, according to police.

Kathleen P. Skrobacz, 51, of 26 Hancock St., Gloucester, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Monday on Center Street on an outstanding warrant. Police did not specify the charge of the warrant.

William P. Page, 44, of no known address, Gloucester, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. on an outstanding warrant after police say he was “walking in and out of traffic” on Rogers Street. Police did not specify the charge on the warrant.

A Lynn woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant Wednesday morning after a motor vehicle stop on Grant Circle. Police did not specify the charge on the warrant for Clara Chavez Mendez, 28, of 33 Witt St., Lynn, who was arrested at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday.
