Rockport Police/Fire: Marijuana smelled in Sandy Bay Estates

ROCKPORT — Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, a Sandy Bay Estates resident called to report the smell of marijuana coming from an apartment nearby.

Police did not smell anything when they arrived. They questioned other residents, but they were unable to find anything.

A Marshall Street homeowner phoned police at 6:30 Tuesday night, reporting somebody had broken his garage window.

When police responded, they found somebody had thrown something through the window, but it did not appear that anyone had tried to enter the garage.

At 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, a male Story Street resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.

Early Wednesday morning, at 8:45, a male Beach Street resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
