Essex Police Fire: Rabbit found dead in road

ESSEX — An Apple Street resident called the police when a dead rabbit was discovered in the middle of the road around 9 a.m. Wednesday. Police then notified the Department of Public Works to remove the carcass.

A suspicious person was reported at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday to be walking on John Wise Avenue.

When police investigated, the juvenile said he was just walking while waiting for a friend.
