Rockport Police/Fire: Rockport man faces domestic charges

ROCKPORT — Police arrested a 37-year-old Rockport man on charges of domestic assault and battery Saturday about 2 a.m.

William Crosby of Thatcher Road was arrested at his residence after police received a call regarding the incident, police said.

Crosby is due to be arraigned in Gloucester District Court today.

Police removed a Sandy Bay Terrace resident from his home and placed the person in protective custody Saturday about 9:30 a.m., after receiving a call from another person at the home, according to police.

A vehicle blocking a fire hydrant in Dock Square was towed from the area Saturday about 3:30 p.m., according to police.

Police broke up a party at a Railroad Avenue residence Sunday about 9:40 p.m., after receiving calls reporting a large and loud party.
