Manchester Police/Fire: Dad, not kid, gets warning for police call

Manchester Police/Fire

MANCHESTER — Police warned a Pine Street man that he could be charged for filing a false police report and misuse of 911 after he called police to his home for a verbal argument, which police said turned out to be a minor disagreement between him and his son Friday about 7 p.m.

Police said that when officers arrived, the father complained that his son was making faces at him and not listening. Police also advised the man that officers do not get involved in parental issues.

A School Street resident reported house plants were stolen from outside the home Friday at about 4:35 p.m., according to police.

The resident told the police he did not know who might have taken the plants, valued at under $250.

A vehicle was towed from the scene of a single-car crash along Route 128 south, with both occupants declining hospital transport Monday about 12:15 a.m., according to police.

Police said the vehicle crashed on Route 128 between Exit 16 for Pine Street and Exit 17, which connects with Grapevine Road in Wenham. Manchester police were unable to provide further information later Monday.
