---- — Nearly 60 lobsters were taken from a lobsterman’s boat parked at the Jodrey State Fish Pier overnight Sunday, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., the victim told police.

Police are investigating the incident as a theft, and are collecting information about other recent thefts on the State Fish Pier.

The 58 stolen lobsters had been strung out on a rope and were hanging in the water from the pier next to the man’s boat overnight.

A Hancock Street building owner found graffiti on the side of his building Tuesday about 11 a.m., and reported the spray painted wall to police.

The black spray-painted graffiti read “Glosta: Drinking town, fishing problem,” according to the police report.

Police advised the building owner to paint over it.
