A Gloucester woman is waiting by the phone, awaiting word that her husband has been found.
Margaret McKay's husband Bruce is diabetic and has some other medical problems. She says her husband is now in dire need of medication.
Bruce McKay, 69, left the family home on Adams Street around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, heading to Ira Toyota on Route 114 in Danvers to get a grease and oil charge for his car. He never arrived at the dealership, his wife said.
"He's a real homebody, he never goes anywhere," Margaret McKay said. "We go out for an hour and half every week and that's it."
Margaret said her husband was likely dehydrated when he left the house, which could make him confused.
His wife said his favorite radio station, WKLB 102.5, has been broadcasting a report that he is missing. She is hoping he hears it and comes home.
Friends and family have also been posting his description on Facebook and Twitter in hopes that someone sees him.
Bruce McKay, a Gloucester Engineering retiree, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds, and is balding with gray hair. He was driving his blue Toyota Rav4, with a veteran's license plate FG52.
If anyone has seen Bruce McKay or has information about his whereabouts, they should call Gloucester Police immediately at 978-283-1212.
